Here is an awesome, easy, fast way to get an extra christmas gift and all you have to do is link LILY to your facebook or your blog. If you can donate even better! I don’t personally know this family but I do love to see Lily every morning. Seriously you all she is adorable, not to mention her mom is a great writer. What more could you ask for in a blog? =)

Now go free Lily!

Not really sure if that is even a word or not, but I am going with it.

First things first, Please help the Cole family. They are adopting “Nellie” through Reece’s Rainbow. I am so excited that they are near and I can watch their story unfold. I don’t really have many readers as I have just started this blog but I am going to put their blog here so anyone who by chance finds my blog can go to theirs to offer any help they can through donations, prayers, or anything you think would help bring Nellie home.

She is such a doll. Please help her home in anyway you can.

Just to keep myself in check, I need to confess I started Bootcamp. Stacie is a great motivator and I am loving it even though it is at 5:30 a.m. and if you really know me you know I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON! But I truly am loving it. It is kind of pricey, for me, so I am hoping to get back in shape enough to start running again. That is the goal of boot camp for me anyway. Wish I could participate in it every month but like I said it is kind of pricey, but well worth it!

Ryan was an absolute gem this morning, which compared to yesterday morning was such a blessing. You see we had, “One of those Mornings” yesterday. You know the type where your kiddos is lagging behind just to be lagging behind. Nothing is really wrong other than they want to do what they want to do instead of getting ready. That was Ryan, poor kid, and I was not in the mood for it. I don’t know what my problem was yesterday but I was not the most understanding person, to say the least. We fought all the way to school and after I left I had the horrible feeling of WHAT HAVE I DONE, nobody should start their day out that way. Then I passed the church here in town that is known for having wonderful saying and the saying was “the world needs less hotheads and more warm hearts.” Written just for me I am sure. Ryan and I did talk about our morning and both agreed neither of us was being helpful to the other. We agreed to try harder in the future. So when today started out so well I was a very happy mama!

Maddy has been getting up in the middle of the night again. I don’t know if she is coming down with something or just going through a growth spurt so she needs some extra calories to satisfy her. She has always been my sleeper so her waking in the middle of the night is a surprise. Hopefully we will start sleeping through the night again soon.

Advice from anyone willing to give it. I would love to put those Grab this button on my blog but I haven’t a clue how. Anyone with experience that can explain it, in pretty simple terms as I am not much of a computer guru would be greatly appreciated.

Ryan’s 8th Birthday

Published September 14, 2011 by thebauer4

Last Saturday (9/10) Ryan turned 8. Where in the world did 8 years go? Ryan had requested no party this year but he wanted to take one friend to play laser tag. Since we have to drive to get to laser tag we decided to take in the Air Show that was also in town that weekend. Sat. morning after Ryan was done playing soccer we picked up his friend and headed out-of-town. We took in the air show 1st, having never been to an air show myself, I have to say it was great and I think Ryan loved it to.

After the air show Ryan decided that he is going into the air force when he grows up. Both boys thought the best part was when the War head (think that is what it is called) dropped bombs during the show. The boys spent the whole afternoon chasing down the pilots and asking for their autographs, too cute. So now Ryan has a bulletin board full of autographs and photos of air crafts. So after waiting almost 2 hours to get out of the parking lot of the air show, yep 2 hours, crazy, we headed to Laser Tag. The boys loved it. Ryan officially won both games that he played in. We got lucky and another group of kids showed up at the same time as we did so they all could play together, wouldn’t have been as much fun if it had just been Ryan and Alex.

Maddy stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa since we wanted Ryan to have his special day all to himself. He soaked up every minute of it!

Still can’t believe my baby is 8. Happy Birthday Ryan Michael. Love you to the Moon and Back.

I just celebrated my 36 birthday this past Friday. Yeap I am 36. Although I prefer to think that age is just a number nothing important, postive thinking right! =)

Labor day weekend was uneventful, which was great. I spent some time with my sister. She was working a craft show at a mall close by. Little converstation with my sister and a little shopping, who could complain especially since my hubby was kind enough to give me some spending cash for my birthday. YEAH. Maddy and I both got new running shoes.

I have to write about something funny that Ryan said recently before I forget it. He was invited to go mini-golfing with a friend and when he got home he was telling all about his game. Being a typical 7 year old his game got better as he told his story until finally he told us he got a “One in the hole”. Love it and want to remember it forever! I love to remember those moments.

Mike was super dad yesterday. I was sick with the flu so he had to take care of the kids by himself. Of course it couldn’t have come at a worse time, he was suppose to go pick up pipe in the morning, so he had to call dad and tell him this would have to wait till Monday. & of course Maddy needed diapers, like seriously needed diapers, people, we were down to 5 or 6. So he had to take both kids to Walmart, this is not Mike’s cup of tea at all. But he did it without complaint and the kids were good for him. He even gave Maddy a bath, 1st one from daddy ever, shs is only 15 months old. lol Yesterday just reminded me of why I choose this man to spend the rest of my life with. He is an awesome husband and father!
